Last year, Mieliepop Festival had everyone talking afterwards. Its boutique status means no overcrowding, its location means luxurious, lush, peaceful surroundings, and the organising team means a tightly-run ship and a diverse, kick-ass lineup of some of South Africa’s best bands. There’s no reason to think Mieliepop 2017 will be anything less. See more details below, and enter our competition to win a double ticket to this event!
I’m definitely looking forward to returning to this hilly Hobbiton near Lothair, Mpumalange this year, and TheFlow.co.za is giving you a chance to go too (see details below)!
This year’s festival, officially known as “The Republic of Mieliepop”, will offer a 4 day camping experience with more than 60 live acts on 4 stages at a one of a kind venue with food stalls, hot showers & lots of additional outdoor activities, including a Yoga Festival.
“We observe today not a victory of a party, but a celebration of freedom, creativity and individuality – symbolizing an end, as well as a beginning – signifying renewal, as well as change. For we have sworn before you and almighty God of Great Music an oath to present the best artists a country has to offer across all genre’s over one weekend.” – Kernel Mieliepop
